As you reach the beach camp the only word that will come to your mind is WOW. The beach camp is located in Byasi, one of the most forested areas close to Rishikesh. You will hear the symphony of the Ganga as you reach half way from road to the camp. The camp is also home to the various birds found in the region. The camp has a huge area & has rocks, huge sandy beach and wide areas to explore. The camp also boast of an exclusive rock face which is just perfect for a great rappelling experience.

Facilities at the camp
- Each tent is spacious of 10ft x 8ft. Each tents comes with twin beds with quilts & foam mattress. Even in cold conditions you will be kept warm with the quilts. In the event of rain, twin fly ensures no water come in.
- Each tent has 6 roll up sleeve windows, for proper ventilation.
- There is no electricity at the camp. Lanterns are provided during the night. The area falls in the reserve forest area and hence even generators are not allowed.
- Dry pit western style toilets are there. These are eco friendly toilets since beach is part of the river bed and no flush toilets can be constructed. Cleanliness & hygiene is ensured.
- Running water is provided in the bath for taking a shower. In winter months, hot water is also available through a traditional wood fired geyser
- 1 closed dining, one open dining and one sitting area next to the Ganges.
- Fully functional kitchen & elaborate buffet meals are laid out.
- Special Wet suits are provided for rafting during winters
Rafting Seasons
The rafting season usually begins from September end and ends by June. This is usually governed by the uttarakhand government, when they give the clearance to all the operators to begin the rafting season and depends on the water levels in the Ganga.
April to June is considered summer months : During the day, it is quite hot and you will find it difficult to stay in the sun. It is quite ironic that most people visit during these months only thinking that summer is the best time to visit for rafting in Rishikesh. While you definitely enjoy the rafting, camping is not such a pleasure as compared to the winter months. Summer is best suited for short trips with majority of the day spent in the river.
The moderate temperature in October, November, part of December and then part of Jan to March are the best time months to visit for rafting. This perhaps is the best season to visit as you enjoy beach camping as well rafting, bonfire and other camp activities or just laze around. You can certainly come for longer duration during these months then the usual weekend break.
Day is usually quite bright & sunny and hot as well while the nights are chilly ( leave the few very cold weeks in Dec and Jan). If you have never been in the winters then we highly recommend that you come once in winters and compare yourself the experience of beach camping & rafting.
The winter months are also good to just unwind at the camp because you can stay by the Ganga and just relax. The sun & the cold are just perfect. It never gets foggy here unlike the plains in Delhi or Chandigarh. Dec/Jan & Feb are best for just do nothing on the beach camp. One can still do short rafting trip or indulge in other activities. Treks are a delight in winters.
