Perched at an altitude of 14300 ft (~4350 m), Nandi Kund is a high altitude lake that will just take your breath away. It is as virgin and pristine an area you would ever imagine. It remains snow bound for most part of the year and hence can be visited only for few months. The trek is strenuous but you will experience, picturesque villages, wide open valleys, numerous waterfalls,dense forest, alpine meadows, crossing multiple streams with knee deep water, boulders & a chance encounter with wild animals. The trek will take you through Madhyamaheshwar which is home to over hundred species of wild flowers during the monsoons.
You should be in a good physical condition to attempt this trek though no prior trekking experience in required but an adventurous spirit and love for Himalayas is a must. This is a must do trek for you if you are a real trek enthusiast. So what are you waiting for.
